Invincible on midnight streets
beading blood on our
freshly-tattooed skin
We load up on
root beer and peach rings
bleach and developer
watch Showgirls and Poltergeist,
VH1 reality TV while you foil
my hair, hookah while we ruin
our Sims’ lives.
Browsing through record stores,
making out at Ataris shows
I never thought men
would tell us who we are.
