Belong

With leaking eyes

That betray my guise

A person with curly hair smiles, surrounded by orange butterflies. One rests on their shoulder. Neutral background enhances calm mood.

And a dripping nose

From the cold

That shall never close

And will forever unfold

I want to let you know

That potential is what I sew

Though I am less than certain

I feel I'm nothing but a wall

Covered by an ugly curtain

And I'm too weak to fall

Let alone stand

And hold my own hand

But they dragged me to my feet

And help me to awake

Their kindness shall meet

Me when I am about to break

Although this winter

Will never splinter

And come to an end

I know I am strong

And although I bend

I will one day belong
