redrosethorns was founded on a fundamental belief: feminism is about empowerment. We harness the power of articles, poetry, interviews, art, and diverse stories to ignite the voices of others. Our mission is to inspire, motivate, educate, and forge connections within our international community. We recognise that our voices are our most powerful tool, enabling us to shape a society that embraces diversity and inclusion.

What topics can you share?
redrosethorns journal invites you to submit your unpublished writing on the following subjects:

gender/sexuality

empowerment
We encourage your imagination to run freely with these topics, and we accept writing in any genre and any style, so long as they are centred around these discussions.
*Please read the guidelines before submission. Any work that does not meet our guidelines will automatically be disqualified.

Guidelines
redrosethorns journal publishes original short stories, creative non-fiction, fiction, poems, and much more.

Please submit your work through our secure online forms found on the right side of the applicable page.

Only submit work that has not been previously published, in print or online.

You retain all copyrights of your work, and full license to use your work after redrosethorns journal publication.

All written work needs to be 3000 words max.

Writings can be written directly into the message section or you may upload documents in PDF or Word format. (If you experience any issues with uploading your document, please reach out to us at contact@redrosethorns.com)

You can submit as many pieces as you wish, though please only submit ONE piece at a time.

We want to make this space as accessible as possible, where you may submit your work at no cost.

Donations are always greatly appreciated.
We encourage folks of marginalised communities, including but not limited to women - both cisgender and transgender women - transgender men, non-binary, gender neutral, and Black, Indigenous, and People Of Colour to contribute their work.
Any work that is hateful, discriminatory, or not factually/scientifically accurate will be disqualified and you may be permanently banned from future submissions.
redrosethorns does not tolerate any rudeness, discrimination, or aggressive behaviour of any kind for any reason. Only love and kindness are accepted in this space.
